Frequently asked questions
A few things people often wonder before reaching out. If your question isn't here, you're welcome to send a note.
Health and wellness coaching is a collaborative process. Rather than telling you what to do, a coach partners with you to explore your own experiences, values, motivations, barriers, possibilities, and choices. Together, you create space to slow down, notice what is happening, and discover what meaningful next steps might look like in your real life.
No. Coaching is not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. VOW Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you are dealing with a mental health concern, please work with a licensed therapist or mental health professional — coaching can often complement that care, but it is not a substitute for it.
No. Dr Korede Olanrewaju is a physician, but VOW Coaching is separate from medical care. It does not replace your physician or medical treatment, and it does not provide medical diagnosis, prescriptions, or clinical management. Participation in VOW Coaching does not create a physician–patient relationship.
No. Dr Korede Olanrewaju is a Christian, and her faith shapes how she understands health, wholeness, purpose, grace, and the dignity of every person. But VOW Coaching is a welcoming space for anyone. You do not need to share her beliefs — or any particular beliefs — to participate. Faith is part of who she is; it is not a requirement for working with her.
VOW stands for Voice of Wisdom. The belief behind it is simple: there is wisdom within each of us, but it can be difficult to hear when life is loud. Coaching creates space to slow down, pay attention, and listen for what that wisdom may be saying about how you want to live and care for yourself.
It is a 20–30 minute conversation to hear what brings you to VOW Coaching, answer your questions, explain the experience, and decide together whether coaching feels like a good mutual fit. It is not a coaching session, and it does not obligate you to enroll.
The 12-week VOW Coaching experience includes six private virtual coaching sessions, approximately every other week, with between-session coaching support. You'll also complete a Personal Health Inventory, have access to the School of Attention, and take part in a Quarterly Stewardship Review. The season is about slowing down, exploring, and practicing meaningful change — not overhauling your entire life.
The School of Attention is a collection of guided reflections and practices designed to help you slow down, pay attention, and see your life with greater curiosity. Through Scripture, reflection, stories, and practical exercises, the School of Attention explores what it means to notice, explore, discern, practice, and witness. It is not another program to complete or a list of things you need to get right. It is an invitation to develop a different way of paying attention, to yourself, your life, and what may be asking for your attention. As a VOW Coaching client, you can explore the School of Attention at your own pace alongside your coaching experience.
We'll work together to reschedule thoughtfully. A detailed cancellation and rescheduling policy will be shared before you begin so you know exactly what to expect.
Yes. The initial experience is twelve weeks, but clients may have the option to continue coaching afterward if it is mutually appropriate and useful. At the end of the season, we pause, look back, and you decide what your next season should look like.
VOW Coaching may be a good fit if you know something needs to change but aren't sure what's in the way; you're tired of starting over; you want sustainable change rather than another short-term plan; you're curious about yourself and willing to explore; you want a collaborative relationship rather than someone telling you what to do; and you're willing to experiment, learn, and practice.
VOW Coaching is not primarily a prescriptive program. Coaching may explore health behaviors and goals, but the emphasis is on helping you understand your own situation and make sustainable choices that fit your real life — rather than handing you a rigid plan to follow.
The 12-week VOW Coaching Experience is $1,875. It begins with a complimentary 20–30 minute conversation so we can meet and decide together whether coaching feels like a good fit.
